General Parade Details

Chatham Parade Website

MEET 8:30 at the CYC float on Shore Road. Location and float number vary by year.  Please see your sailing school director for specifics.  Parade begins at 9:30 - See below with traffic guidance.  

WEAR your Sailing School T-Shirt! And comfortable walking shoes.

BRING Water bottle and anything needed for the weather.

PICK UP Monomoy Regional Middle School on Crowell Road*

All kids 8 and under need to be accompanied by an adult to walk in the parade.  The parade route ends at Crowell Road and Lake Street - if your child is unaccompanied and not picked up at the end of the parade, then they will proceed to the Middle School.

PARKING & SHUTTLE Chatham usually runs a shuttle to assist with parade entrants.  Please visit the Chatham Fourth website for specific details.  For entrants wishing to park at the Monomoy Regional Middle School, a shuttle bus will take you to Shore Road. This shuttle will run starting at 6:30 am. If taking the shuttle, please allow extra time - you often have to wait a few minutes. The shuttle drops you at Barcliff and Shore Road - then you will need to walk from there to the float site. (Float #23)

Please adhere to police instructions for entering & exiting the parade area. Shore road closes at 6:30 am and Main street to Shore Road closes at 8:00 am

Families should supply their own candy for handing out and bring a bucket / pail for carrying

Candy will not be stored on the float/trailer due to risk of injury. Bring only what you can carry!

Please remind your participants that candy may be handed out but THROWING CANDY IS NOT ALLOWED.

PARKING AT CYC ON THE 4th

There is no CYC parking available after 4:00 on the 4th.

Eastward Ho! is fully subscribed for their annual July 4th celebration. Only members with a confirmed EHo reservation may park in the parking lot.

If you wish to watch the fireworks from the CYC beach, you may walk over the hill but must park along the street or elsewhere. The Chatham police will be onsite to help with any parking questions.

Please do not park in areas on Fox Hill Road that have been roped off by the Greens Department or the Police for safety reasons. It is a very busy night!
